Daithí Mac Síthigh

Daithí supports applications for funding, research initiatives and training and capacity building across both Faculties, and chairs the IADT Research and Development Committee; he also contributes to FilmEU’s work on research and innovation.

Before joining IADT, he was a co-director of the R&D partnership ‘Future Screens NI’ and a director of the Northern Bridge Doctoral Training Partnership, and was professor of law and innovation at Queen’s University Belfast, having previously held various roles at Newcastle University, the University of Edinburgh, and the University of East Anglia.

Daithí has published widely on law and technology, intellectual property, media policy and regulation, and related issues, and was for five years a member of the Irish Open Data Governance Board.
